At some Maldives resorts, a personal butler takes care of the details of your stay, from unpacking to booking dinners. This guide explains what a butler does, which of our hand-picked resorts offer butler or personal concierge service and how to make the most of it. For tipping, see our money and tipping guide.
What a butler does
A butler is your main contact at the resort. They usually welcome you on arrival, show you to your villa and stay in touch during your stay, often by phone or a messaging app. They can book restaurants, spa treatments and excursions, arrange in-villa dining and help with special requests, such as a birthday surprise.

- The St. Regis Vommuli Resort, Maldives is known for its St. Regis butler service.
- Ayada Maldives welcomes guests with a personal butler who looks after them throughout the stay.
